Another week another win. We played Prestwich last season and won, it was 2 different teams that played each other on Saturday. Unsworth started where they left off last week playing a high tempo passing game which was a joy to watch. For the first 10 minutes it was all Unsworth, Dylan working the left flank creating chances for Joe, Ben and Lucas. But for all their endeavors, Prestwich took the lead. Aaron 1st touch was picking the ball out of the net. Unsworth responded well Dylan passing to Lucas who cooley slotted home. The lads kept on pressing and were rewarded with a second, Lucas scoring from more good work from Dylan. The 2nd half started more even. But Unsworth scored again, Lucas finished off a good move from Reece, Ben and Dylan. Prestwich scored to make the last 10 minutes more open. Prestwich pressed for an equaliser but this left gaps in the defence. Jack AH, Jack H, Shaun and Joe all had chances at goal. Ben offered to go in net to give Aaron a run out. Aaron was excellent up from and was unfortunate not to score. Well done to Ben who pulled off 2 great saves. Lucas capped a fine performance with his 4th goal, Dylan once again setting him up. Overall a very pleasing performance the lads showed good character to come from a goal down to win the game. Man of the match - This was a close affair today. 4 goal hero Lucas would probably have won this most weeks, but for me today was Dylan. He was the heartbeat of the team, winning tackles and his unselfishness on the ball. Well Done Dylan you are an inspiration to your team mates. Thanks to Paul Millar for reffing the game today. Thanks to Danny Boyce for helping me out, due to Darren having to work. |
