On Sunday 9th November saw Unsworth play host in the last 16 to Walshaw Sports (winners last year who pipped us in the League). 

In the first eight minutes Unsworth were awarded a penalty after one of Walshaw Sports players deliberately handled the ball on the line.  George Powell stepped upto the mark to socre from the spot-kick.  This reduced the Walshaw team to 10 men. Lee Housley put a ball to Lemar who latched on to the through ball to put us 2-0 up.  Walshaw pulled one back with a dubious hand-ball decision, scoring from spot kick - 2-1 at half time.

In the second half, the boys came out fighting with Lemar scoring his second of the match, and Shaan came off the bench to score two.

Congratulations to the boys on reaching the last eight of the LFA Sunday Trophy, we have a tough away game to Wigan Junior Latics on 30th November 2008.  More information will follow when I have it!!!!
