The last couple of weeks we have been battling injuries.
For the last 2 saturdays we have just been able to start with 11 players and we ended with 9 against Prestwich Town Blacks and 10 against Radcliffe Town Reds.
The week before we played host to Prestwich Town Blacks and with all eleven side teams at home we got to play on the overspill pitch which we enjoy playing on as its a little bit bigger than our designated pitch.
We had played Prestwich the week before in a cup game and it was a tough match and a few of our players had knocks.
We only had 11 so the team picked itself.
Elliot opened the scoring, he went up for the corner kick and knocked it into the back of the net. Within a couple of minutes another corner, their defender tried to clear the ball but ended up knocking it in, head in his hands and 2 nil up.
Third corner and their was no stopping Elliot and straight into the back of the net 3 nil.
Prestwich was a different side than the week before they just didn't seem to be in it.
There goal keeper made some cracking saves but he couldn't keep Bradley out, he managed to get his hat trick for the fourth week on the trot, well done Brad.
Luke and Aaron were also on the score sheet.
Ten minutes into the second half 7 nil up and sitting pretty. Austin was quiet in goal as the back four had done their job when Elliot slid along the ground and his leg locked up. He was off and we were down to 10 players. Michael had been struggling with his leg and he couldn't continue and then their was 9. We conceded 2 goals and managed to score 1 back. I had the final score as 8-2 but the ref only had 7 goals marked down.
So we put the result as 7-2 and just didn't count the own goal.

Goal scorers:
Bradley 3
Elliot 2
Aaron 1
Luke 1
On Saturday we were away to Radcliffe Town Reds our Goalie Ollie was back but Luke was unwell all week so we just had 11 players.
The match was fairly even and was being played down both wings. Both sets of defenders were holding their lines well.
We started to press more and after 20 minutes the ball was crossed and Calum was their to knock it into the back of the net, great goal.
We carried on pressing and Aaron was rewarded with a great goal, 2 nil.
Radcliffe pressed and managed to score. Half-time with the scoreline 2-1, we had to close them down more, press hard and dig deep.
Unfortunately in the second half our Captain Elliot slid and ended up locking his leg for the second time, with no subs we were down to 10 and Calum slotted into the back four.
Leaving Bradley upfront on his own, he made a nuisance of himself, we thought he'd scored the third goal for us, he'd beat the keeper, the ball was travelling fast, he managed to catch it and curl it round the goal only to be disappointed by the Radcliffe defender who'd managed to get back and made a brilliant goal line clearance. Radcliffe pressed and we closed them down, Ollie pulled off some cracking saves and Austin was fantastic keeping the moral together. We really digged deep and worked hard and was rewarded with a fantastic win. Sean and I are very proud, well done boys.
