We were away to United JFC Kingsway in Rochdale and with rumours circulating of snow and pitches being waterlogged, I thought it's only about time before we get the message game off. But no Rochdale was clear and sunny, ok it wasn't raining. The pitch wasn't very good but alot better than last time we played, as we were all knee deep in water. We are struggling with injuries at the moment no goalie but Austin stepped upto the mark, thanks and Calum pulled his hamstring during the warm ups. Brad not knowing where his boots were, luckily Coach Sean loaned him his and magic boots they were. The pitch was muddy and hard to run in but that didn't stop Jacob he was amazing, he took the ball down the wing, Brad was in the middle waiting for the cross but he was in such a good position, we all screamed shoot, boom!! 1 - Nil, great goal. United started to pass in midfield but never really troubled Austin, as Elliot closed anything off, well done. There was some fantastic passing between Aaron, James and Bradley and this paid off. Bradley scored a further 2 goals to make it 3 - nil and we were sitting pretty. We took our eye off the game, after a few off side calls and United pulled one back to make it 3 - 1. Then Bradley managed to get his hat trick for the second week running, well done! Half Time Sean gave a positive team talk but United JFC came out stronger and there was some great football. United got their second goal and it was a cracker. 4 - 2 with 25 minutes left Aaron picked up the ball in midfield but twice he tried to walk it in and their goalie stayed big and strong. Finally, he shot from distance and boom he got his goal. It ended 5-2 to Unsworth Dragons. Goal Scorers: Jacob 1 Bradley 3 Aaron 1 Man of the Match: Elliot |
