Hawks 3 Vs Woodbank 5

No subs as a couple of the boys away on a school trip, We started well were looking strong, 2 - 3 to woodbank at half time, Tom Strong and Jack getting the goals. Tired legs set in and as we had no subs it didnt help, Played with 10 boys for the last 5 mins due to an injury, so it was one of those days really, Woodbank deserved the win overall 3-5. Marcus had a good game in mid and defence working hard getting parents choice MOM, Some great play overall from all the boys, onwards and upwards!!

Evening game in whitworth tonight, what a trek that was!!They started strong (on another sloping pitch) lets not go there!. It makes us realsise how good our home pitch is thats for sure. All downhill in the 1st half for them and they got 3 goals to their credit, We had one ruled out for offside, a very strong Penalty denied, but we dealt with it, Tom Strong scoring 1 in the 1st to make it 3-1 at half time.

Some strong words at half time and a couple of tweaks here and there and we were like a different team. Tom Strong getting another 4, Morgan Champagnie scored the 6th to finish the job but also was voted parents MOM with some great football, possibly his best game yet for us, giving 3 assists to Tom, great team play and unselfish football to get the job done. There keeper was my man of the match, he was excellent and made 5 or 6 saves that other keepers would have struggled with, so we deserved it overall definately. Jack lee and Decs were excellent on the wings, Tom Schofield and Stan worked like trojans supplying the wings and the strikers with some ammo. Josh kept a clean sheet in the second half and was awesome making some crucial saves. Marcus, Morgan Hall, Jadon, Belani, Dill and Nathan all put a shift in to ensure we plugged the gaps in the 2nd.Great game and the best team won,Keep listening, keep working hard you will go a long way.
