after an eight week break because of the weather the lads were faced with a last 16 cup tie against the b team,the lads had been desperate for a game after such a long break and didnt dissapoint with a flying start.some lovely football was being played with "messi" looking back to his brilliant best,chance after chance being created and it looking only a matter of time before the lads would break the deadlock and so it would prove as "captain marvel" holding the ball up beautifully up front would break away from the defence and slam a shot off the bar which "ronaldo" followed up to open the scoring,the lads were now dominating the game and only a string of fine saves from yurek in the opponents goal was stopping it being a rout.

a rare lapse of concentration from the lads would prove costly as the opposition striker ran through to level the scores,more great football from the lads wasnt enough to give us the lead going into half time but having played the first half against a very strong wind and driving rain it would prove to be a good half from the lads with "the kaiser" and "evil kneivel" solid as a rock in defence.

into the second half and the lads picked up where they had left off and were showing our opponents no mercy,moments later the lads would take the lead with "twinkle toes" smashing a shot into the top corner which gave the keeper no chance.the lads were now getting into gear and more "messi" magic down the left and a great cross that found "the rifle" on his own in the middle to slot home with a cool left footed finish,the boys were now piling on the pressure and some great play down the right from "turn on a sixpence" would create the goal of the day off a cross which "messi" nodded home for a fine finish.a superb performance from the lads would send us into the quarter finals with every player chipping in.
