a return to winning ways after suffering defeat in the previous gamethe lads were determined to get back to winning ways.some stern opposition would stand in our way in the shape of middleton lads who had given us some really tough games in the past. another shaky start meant middleton taking an early grip on the game,a soft penalty conceded early on was skied over the bar by the middleton forward and was a big let off for the lads.soon after it was 1-0 for the visitors after a soft back pass allowed the middleton striker to run through and slot the ball past "safe hands" who had allready made some smart saves to keep the lads in the game. the lads responded soon after and took almost complete control over the game.with the midfield three of "evil kneivel","twinkle toes" and "ronaldo" starting to run the show,a powerful run and shot from "evil kneivel" allowed "captain marvel" to pounce on the rebound for a typical poachers goal, the boys were now swarming all over the visitors and starting to play some trademark samba beat football, the introduction of "messi" just before half time was the turning point in the game and the unsworth winger was starting to wave his magic wand,a superb mazy run and cross for the deadly "captain marvel" who given the ball in these areas finishes like a ruthless assassin.soon after "twinkle toes" would make it 3-1 with a surgeing run past a couple of confused middleton defenders and a great finish.a great little comeback from the lads and a well deserved half time lead. the introduction of "the rifle" at the break saw the lads carry on where they had left off.now creating chance after chance and playing some really nice stuff the visitors were struggling to cope.the defensive duo of "the kaiser" and joe "terry" were as solid as ever and were knocking the ball around for fun.soon after it would be 4-1 with a great finish into to the top bag from "the rifle",some good performances from the unsworth subs allowed the boys to keep going at the visitors with "turn on a sixpence" looking dangerous and carrying on his recent great form, another great pass from "messi" put the "rifle" clean through and the finish past the keeper showed everyone just why they call him "the rifle". a soft goal conceded made it 5-2 for unsworth, but the lads were not finished just yet and a trademark heat seaker from "ronaldo" sealed the three points for the boys from hillock.another great performance from the lads sent the unsworth faithful home happy.just one complaint for the day would be big macs cafe having no eggs for the sausage barms (think on big mac),haha man of the match-"messi"-top drawer performance!! |
