a summer of success
an invite to the springhill tournament saw our european tour travel to rochdale, with two trophys in the cabinet allready this summer the lads were in the mood to win another,a six a side set up meant the manager having to split the lads into 2 teams, the blues and the reds, with dannys team obviously being the blue's and paul the reds,a call up from the raiders for joseph meant 2 six a side teams with no subs

a good start for both teams with a win for the blues and a draw for the reds, second game up saw the two sides meet each other with the blues winning with a flattering 4-1 scoreline, both sides continued to play good football and racked up wins and clean sheets, both teams were in the top four to move on to the semis.

both teams were now confident they could make it an unsworth final, the reds line up of sam "turn on a sixpence" jones, captain marvel mitchell, joseph, louis "messi" chortiw, rio "evil kneivel" clegg and dan "bite yer legs matthews were to face local rivals marauders and were unlucky to come away being beaten 1-0.

the blues line up of callum safe hands ,riley "the rifle" smith, spikey "twinkle toes" stansfield, oscar "ronaldo" radcliffe, joe "terry" morrison, and hasnat "the kaiser" shabbaz would face pennine in there semi and the match would go to a penalty shootout where man of the day safe hands showed his trueclass between the sticks saving three of the oppositions spot kicks, with the rifle stepping up to smash the winning penalty and send the lads through to the final

a niggly game with oscar "ronaldo" radcliffe recieving some specail attention off the marauders lads meant for a nervy finish but with seconds left the rifle pounced again to smash in the winner, another great performance and more silverware to takeour tally to six trophys in there first 2 years,a great achievment, well done boys!!!!!!

men of the day sam "turn on a sixpence" jones and callum "the safest hands" williamson
