unsworth 2 v woodbank 1
first home game of the season and big macs pitches freshly cut and looking perfect for sum of unsworths trademark attacking football saw the lads at home to woodbank and another tough game in store. the woodbank lads had come to try and stifle the threat of unsworths attackers and were playing very deep which was causing our lads a few problems, with oscar being man marked by two red shirts and 6 men behind the ball woodbank were keeping the lads at bay the game suddenly changed when the boys got to grips with woodbanks defensive tactics and rio burst through to make it 1-0 unsworth, with more great passing football and the defence standing firm the lads were unlucky not to increase there lead and were even unluckier when a rare lapse of concentration allowed woodbank to equalise,it was now game on and the lads were starting to spark into gear the opposition were really working hard to try and contain the lads but couldnt stop the lads from getting what they deserved with oscar running through and bagging the winner against his old club, another 3 points in the bag and an all round good team performance had pleased the manager in a game that proved to be a real toughie, well done boys!!!!! man of the match-hasnat |
