After four times attempts, this fixture was finally played today. Dobbies played host to Unsworth, on a pitch which can only be called as "very wavy" to say the least. Unsworth reduced Dobbies to two attempts in the first half with Brad Higgins missing chance after chance, it just felt like one of those days. The ball was running away down the sloping pitch which added more frustration to the first half which Unsworth dominated. In the second half, a quickly taken corner found "Banana Boots" Brad rise above the defence to head home from close range. He soon made it two and then three in a space of 10 minutes. Mike Mellouish was replaced by Craig Moffat, and Lewis Macklin was replaced by Jamie. Lee Bushell, who had one of his off days, was replaced by Ollie Colgan. The game looked dead and buried for Dobbies, who in all fairness never gave up. A Lewis Saunders backpass saw a half hearted challenge from keeper Barton find the Dobbies centre forward to tap home Dobbies first. Three minutes later, with just a long ball pumped forward Dobbies centre forward muscled our two centre-halves and hit an unstoppable shot from 30 yards which looped over Barton's head to make it 3-2. Game on again - STOP KILLING ME BOYS!!! With Mitchell Brown persistently a threat, he made a telling run down the right when Dan Smith put him in. Mitchell cut inside the box, only to have his ankles clipped. Mitchell picked his self up to smash the spot kick home (glad you are back on form Mitch). Game Over 4-2 |
