| Lewis Macklin's 2 goal haul earns Unsworth a point |

After last week's disappointment, Unsworth played host to joint top leaders Staff of Life. With the squad back to full strength and only four points off the top before start of play and with 2 games in hand, this was a big game for the club. Both defences and mid-field were cancelling themselves out, this was a first half of little chances, but Unsworth took the lead when Danny Smith squared the ball to Lewis Macklin who clinically finished from the edge of the box to make it 1-0 after half an hour. Staff of Life then came back into the game when a bizaar shot from 30 yards hit a divet and bounced over Barton's shoulder to make it 1-1. Staff took the lead when a shot hit Mike Mellouish and deflected into the bottom corner to make it 2-1. Barton redeemed himself with a long range clearance which Lewis latched on to and rounded the keeper to make it 2-2. Josh Kedie took a knock to his right knee and was replaced by Mr. Utilityman Lee Bushell and Mitchell Brown replaced the injured Lewis Saunders. The game could have gone either way in the second half, with Danny Smith screwing his effort wide of the post and with the goalkeeper making 2 fine saves in quick succession from Craig Moffat the game still wide open. Ross Jones had a solid game at the back for Unsworth. Lewis Macklin made way for Jamie Macklin who saw his first chance go high and wide, but Staff of Life were given a lifeline with a strange penalty decision. Matt Barton (super-keeper) was called upon to stand firm, and he didn't disappoint. In the final few minutes of the game Staff of Life hit the cross-bar. and Unsworth had a free-kick which saw Bushell's shot deflected over the bar.
