Sunday 7th February Unsworth played Whitefield Wanderers who are languishing towards the bottom of the division.

After a bright start we fell behind to an offside player, but defensively we should have been better.  With 20 minutes into the first half, Danny Mather was dealt a harsh sending off which made it an up-hill battle for the 10 men of Unsworth.

Unsworth dug in and deserved the equaliser when Mike Mellouish half volleyed from 25 yards to see his shot fire into the back of the net, giving the keeper no chance.

It was one of those days where decisions went against us, and Unsworth could not break down the stubborn 8-man Whitefield defence.

With 2 minutes to go, Craig Moffat pulled the score back to 4-2
