Bury Sports Development held their annual Sports Awards Evening at Radcliffe Civic Centre. The awards recognises all the hard work volunteers do each day for their local community.
Two of our key volunteers Colin and Helen Macklin were nominated for unsung hero and volunteer of the year.
Colin and Helen have both been volunteering in junior football for over 20 years.
Colin and Helen were both runner-ups in these categories and they both received certificates, well done.
The LAPP - Local Area Prestwich Partnership look at all the nominees and they give out a Special Recognition Award. They read out all the different volunteering roles this person does - Chairman of Junior Football Club, Manager, Coach, Referee, Groundsman, Chef, Cleaner and he also runs a Open-Age Sunday League.
Well if you've not already guessed it is our Club Chairman Colin Macklin, Congratulations.
His awards are on display in the Clubhouse.
